Cookies & Advertising
Effective October 2026
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Right now, this coming-soon site sets no cookies at all. When the full site launches, it will use the four kinds below, and you will control the optional ones.
| Type | What it does | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps the site working: sign-in, your consent choice, theme | No, the site needs them |
| Preferences | Remembers settings such as dark mode | Yes, by clearing site data |
| Analytics | Counts visits and popular pages, in aggregate | Yes |
| Advertising | Shows ads and measures them; may personalize ads (Google AdSense, and later a premium ad network) | Yes |
Ad partners
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info. You will still see ads, but they won’t be based on your browsing.
Consent banner
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will see a banner from a Google-certified consent platform and can accept, reject or customize before any advertising or analytics cookies load. You can change your choice any time with the “Privacy choices” link in the footer.
California and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising.
Pro members
Pro members see no ads, so advertising cookies are not loaded for them while signed in.
